Missing our Festivals? We are as well...
Summer Bash has grown to be one of Regina’s largest organizers of community celebrations. Much more than a one-day event, the Summer Bash events foster a stronger sense of community as we celebrate our diversity and build connections with our neighbours.
Founded in 2017 from the wisdom of the Albert Park Community Association, Adam Hicks and Ian Leverington created the vision for Summer Bash. 2017 began with a single festival with 9,200 citizens, 2018 six events with 14,400 citizens, 2019 witnessed seven events with 20,000+ citizens, and 2020 with Covid-19 taking into consideration, we hosted over 35 safe events that saw over 10,000 citizens. 2021 saw us host over 35 events with over 4,000 people attending the summer market and thousands of others who came out to the public and private movie nights which were both hosted as drive-ins and movies in the park. 2022 we also held our first annual Cultural Evolut!on event that had over 100 local artists, musicians, and students. 2023 we held two valentine events, over 20 movie nights, a massive two day summer market, youth groups, and the second annual Cultural Evolut!on events that was hosted over three days.
We have lots planned for 2023 but a festival is not likely in the cards. Stay tuned into our website and social media (@SummerBashYQR).
