Cultural Evolut!on

Cultural Evolution was created as a means of supporting local artists, musicians, and students during a challenging year for the arts industry in 2020. Since then, this initiative has blossomed into a highly anticipated event that performers and participants alike eagerly look forward to.

In 2022, we hosted a number of Cultural Evolution events, including the Buskers Showcase and the Student Heritage Fair, which showcased some of the finest performers, cultural groups, and teachings that Saskatchewan has to offer. These events were an overwhelming success, and we are excited to build on this momentum and further expand the reach of this series in future years.

  • 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm: Performance at the Broad Street Bridge during the Night Owl Run

  • 8:00 am - 5:00 pm: Buskers Performing at Conexus Arts Centre during race package pickup

  • 9:00 am - 3:00 pm: Performers on the Main Stage at the Conexus Arts Centre Lawn

  • 9:00 am - 3:00 pm: Cultural Teachings and stories at the Conexus Arts Centre Lawn

  • 9:00 am - 12:00 pm: Performance at the Broad Street Bridge during the kids races.

  • 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm: Performance at the Broad Street Bridge during the family 5km run

  • 8:00 am - 11:00 am: Performances in front of the Sound Stage (Hamilton & College) during the QCM Race

  • 9:00 am - 2:00 pm: Performances at the Neil Balkwill Pedestrian Bridge (Coronation St & 17th Ave) during the QCM Race

  • 10:00 am - 12:00 pm: Performances at the Carlton Park Bridge (North of Dewdney and the RCMP Heritage Centre) during the QCM Race

  • 9:00 am - 2:00 pm: Performers on the Main Stage at the Conexus Arts Centre Lawn

We hosted a Student Heritage Fair, as well as three days of busking and two days of cultural teachings. These teachings were thoughtfully recorded and can be easily accessed through the links provided below, offering interested individuals the opportunity to delve further into the rich cultural heritage we aim to celebrate and promote.
