Capes for hope

world record attempt

Capes for Hope!

People are asking, "What is Capes of Hope all about?" Capes of Hope is a World Record Attempt "Largest gathering of people wearing capes," that will be made at Summer Bash 2019 in Harbour Landing on August 25, 2019 between 3:00 and 3:30 pm in Groome Park. Groups will start handing out capes at 10:00 am and at approximately 2:15 pm we will start getting everyone into place for the actual Guinness Book of World Records attempt.

Capes of Hope is an opportunity for everyone to make a difference in a way that the world can see. We will have numerous community groups attending and they will be handing out capes and providing supplies for people to decorate their cape to support the cause of their choice. This is an opportunity for community groups to get information out to the public about the programs and services their organization provides. It’s also an opportunity for those attending Summer Bash to learn more about these groups and how they support people in various ways and have fun.

Capes of Hope is our chance to show individuals who may be struggling, that they are not alone and it is our chance as a community to show that no matter how different we are, we can still be there for others and make a difference. Together we can do what a single person may not be able to accomplish and through our coming together and supporting these causes, we can show the world that we can make a difference in people’s lives and we will have to pictures to prove it!!
